How we build our calculators

• Every number comes from a public source, such as state fee schedules, and each tool lists its sources.
• We show ranges when real costs vary, rather than a falsely precise figure.
• We date our data and refresh it when sources change.

How we make money

The calculators are free. Some pages link to services, such as LLC formation companies, through affiliate links. If you sign up through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Partners never influence the calculations. See our affiliate disclosure.
