This policy explains what BizCostDesk (bizcostdesk.com) collects and how it's used. The short version: you don't create an account, calculator answers stay in your browser, and we don't sell personal information.
Calculator inputs
The calculators run in your browser. Your answers (for example, the state you pick) are not sent to us or stored.
Location
To prefill your state, the calculator asks our server for your approximate state, which our host (Cloudflare) derives from your IP address. It is used only to show that state and is not stored. You can change the state at any time; your choice is remembered only in your own browser.
Analytics
We use privacy-friendly analytics that do not use cookies and do not collect personal data. We see aggregate figures such as page views, referring sites, country and device type, and whether a calculator was completed.
When you click a partner link
When you click a link to a partner, we log the click with a random ID, the page and tool it came from, the referring site, campaign parameters in the URL (such as utm_source), your approximate country and region, and device type. We do not store your IP address. The random ID is passed to the partner so they can tell us if the click led to a sign-up. Partners and affiliate networks may set their own cookies on their sites. Their privacy policies apply there.
If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply.
If you sign up for deadline reminders, we store your email address, the state you picked and the page you signed up from, and use them only to send those reminders. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete your address at any time.
Sharing
We don't sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We use service providers to host the site (Cloudflare), store click logs (Neon) and measure traffic, only to run the site.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to know, delete or correct personal information, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. Because we don't sell or share it, there's nothing to opt out of, but you can email us with any request and we'll respond within 45 days.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
